Darlene "Dee Dee" Marie Watson, born June 20, 1957, to John Dunn and Ollie Watson, passed away peacefully at home on August 5, 2025, surrounded by family.

When she was young, Dee Dee's family moved to San Diego, California, where her humor, style, and creativity quickly made her unforgettable. She had a deep love for all things art and spent many years working at a flight suit manufacturing company in San Diego, where her coworkers became a second family. Anyone lucky enough to know her has a story to tell—usually one that ends in laughter.

Fifteen years ago, Dee Dee moved to Mississippi to help her sister care for their aging mother, showing the same devotion to family that she gave to everyone she loved.

She is survived by her loving sister and caregiver Debra Dunn; niece Jordan Dunn; nephew Greg Cleveland; great-nieces Presley and Riley Cleveland; and great-nephew Ledger Cleveland.

Dee Dee is now reunited with her beloved life partner, Kimberly Gardner. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, laughter, and bright spirit will never be forgotten.

We miss you, Dee Dee. Keep shining on—just like the light you always were.
