Daniel Donovan Shearer, Jr., 57, life-long resident of Raymond, died in his sleep on June 10, 2019.
Danny was born May 27, 1962, at St. Dominic Hospital to Daniel Donovan (Don) Shearer, Sr. and Ruby Hutchins Shearer of Raymond, MS.
He attended Central Hinds Academy and graduated from Raymond High School. He continued his education through several classes at Hinds Community College.
Danny loved to read and to learn for the sake of knowledge. He loved his many cats throughout the decades.
He is survived by his mother, Ruby Hutchins (Shearer) McNeil; sisters and their spouses, Donna Shearer and Allan Gordon, and Diane and Jeffrey Miner; nieces, Jackie Gordon Hinton and Ashley Miner and nephew, Donovan Miner.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Shearer and nephew, Drew Gordon.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 11:00am at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to:
