Daniel "Dan" Dearman

Daniel “Dan” Dearman went home to be with his Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy of deep faith, immeasurable love for his family, and a lifetime of cherished friendships. Born and raised in Pearl, Mississippi, Dan graduated from Pearl High School, where he formed deep, lifelong friendships that remained close to his heart throughout his entire life. Dan was a devoted father to David and Brooke and grandfather to DJ. He had a big heart and loved his family and friends deeply. Dan worked in the compressor industry for the majority of his career. He was widely respected for his strong work ethic, successfully owning and operating D and D Compressors before retiring from Gulf States Engineering Company. Retirement marked the beginning of a vibrant new chapter for Dan, allowing him to dedicate his energy and drive to his true passions. An avid car enthusiast, he spent his retirement restoring classic vehicles, with his 1953 Ford and 1928 Durant holding a special place in his garage. He loved spending his days at car shows, catching up with friends, and proudly showing off his classic car and truck. Dan loved hitting the open road, traveling alongside his dear friends, family, and his faithful canine companion, Blossom. He was a gifted artist who shared his lifelong passion for painting with those around him. As a devoted, active member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, Dan walked closely with God. He possessed a true servant’s heart, always looking for quiet, impactful ways to uplift his church, support his neighbors, and help anyone in need. Dan walked through life's highest joys and deepest sorrows with immense grace. He was preceded in death by his beloved children, David Dearman and Brooke Dearman; his brother, Ronald Dearman; his sister, Rachel Smith; and his parents, Gustave Dearman and Christeen Dearman Jenkins. He is survived by his grandson, David Joseph (DJ) Dearman, II. He also leaves behind his loyal and beloved dog, Blossom, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss his kindness, strength, and generous spirit.
