Daniel Aldridge passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Hospice Ministries. Danny was born in Jackson, MS, on April 27, 1940, and lived in Bolton, MS, his entire life. He worked in the maintenance field and as a mechanic most of his life for Gaddis Farms and Hudspeth Center. He had an uncanny knack for figuring out how to repair most anything and, if told that something couldn't be fixed, took it as a dare and personal challenge to find a way. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Ruth Melton Aldridge, sister Mary Wilson Aldridge, and his first wife Carolyn VanLandingham Aldridge.
Danny is survived by his wife Elizabeth McNeece Aldridge; daughters Melany Aldridge (Ray Warren) of Richmond, KY, Janet Aldridge, and Sharon White (John) of Clinton, MS; grandchildren Will, Ashley and Chris Albritton; sister Frankie Ruth Heard (Ray); and nephews Steven and Michael Heard.
The family thanks Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, MS, for their loving care.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, May 27, 2015, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with graveside services to follow at Bolton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Boulevard, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
