Cynthia Gail Hand Wilkinson, 75, passed away on May 16, 2025. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a Service following at 2:00pm.

Born on November 20, 1949, Cynthia was the 4th of 5 daughters born to Molly Mott Helm and Leonard Hand in Richland (formally Plain), MS. She married her best friend and love of her life Robert Arnold Wilkinson in September of 1965 after 1 year, 1 month and 1 day of dating. They welcomed their first child, Karen M Johnson in April of 1970 and then a son, Robert A. Wilkinsons, Jr. in June of 1978. They built a home in friendship acres where they had a small farm. Cynthia began a career in accounting as a bookkeeper in her parent's auto garage then taken courses at Hinds CC she continued working at her career through several industry's including the oil and gas industry until she found a home with the Mississippi Food Network which is where she retired after 26 yrs at the age of 72 in March of 2022. She had many interests but her biggest was her family. She LOVED going to the beach and taking all the kids, grands, and great grands. She was grandma to some, maw-maw and GG to others. She had an aggressive and advanced staged cancer, but she never acted like she was dying. Treatment gave us more time than we thought but not as much as we wanted and she had planned one more trip to the beach for us all, but a fall changed the plans in March. She adored her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her sisters. She was so tenderhearted, compassionate, and kind. Everyone always said so!

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Maxine Gervais and Peggy Jackson.

She is survived by her husband Robert Wilkinson, Daughter Karen Johnson (James), son Robert Wilkinson, Jr. (Chasity), grandchildren Alex Baskin (Amber), Ashlyn Johnson, Kenzie Johnson, Madison Wilkinson, Gage Wilkinson and; great grandchildren Molly Rhae, Peyton, Moxon, Jordan, Koby, Kamrynn and Maggie Tate; sisters Lynn Cox (David) and Jean Melton (Joel); multiple nieces and nephews and her dog cookie, a dachshund.
