Clara Belle Henderson, 84, of Pelahatchie, MS passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Chunky, MS. Clara was born on November 24, 1937 to Victor and Dorothy Rogers  in Pinola County. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 20 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Bro. Thomas Laird will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

Clara was a resident of Pelahatchie for over 54 years and a long time member of Concord Baptist Church. She is best known in the community for the many years she owned and operated the Big Oak Café and Clara's Country Store. She loved to cook and everyone loved her cooking and if you didn't you better not tell her! Growing up as one of 10 children and raising 4 of her own, she learned both to fight and love, and she knew just when either was needed. Clara faced many trials and difficult times, including great loss, but she never allowed those times of trouble to keep her from moving forward and loving her life, Lord and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Henderson, Sr.; son, Carl Henderson; daughter, Ava Edna Brown; brothers: Victor, Pete, Homer and Edgar Rogers; sister, Jenny Shuler and a great-granddaughter, Belle Hamilton.

She is survived by her son, Aaron Henderson, Jr. (Deborah) of Canton, MS; daughter, Sarah McMullin (Mark) of Chunky, MS; sisters: Sarah Lucas, Lola Key, Dorothy Till and Libby Philips; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Her pallbearers are Tyler McMullin, Tayloe McMullin, Aaron Henderson, III, Tucker Sigh, Will Sigh and Russ Pate.  Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Wooten, Mike Hillhouse, Tracey Phillips, Heath Williamson and Billy Wood.
