Orris Christopher Adkins, 51, passed away peacefully, surrounded by friends and loved ones on September 29, 2025 at Saint Dominic's hospital after a long fight with Kidney disease.

The only son of Orris Richard and Shirley Adkins, Chris was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, but moved to Mississippi very young. Chris graduated from Clinton High School and received an Associate Degree in drafting from Hinds. He went on to pursue a career in Hospitality.

In 2002, he met his love, Julie Wetzel, in New Orleans. They moved to Ohio for a period before returning to Mississippi to take care of his ageing parents. His son, Orris Karl Adkins was born in 2008.

In 2017, he was diagnosed with Kidney failure.

Chris was an avid gamer. He enjoyed live action, table top, and miniature games. He spent many hours rolling dice with people from all walks of life. He loved horror movies, science fiction, high fantasy, and anime. There wasn't a game he didn't want to try. As a child of the 80s, he enjoyed everything pop culture of that era could offer; Legos, Transformers, GI Joe, and more. Even as an adult, he was such a kid at heart. He will truly be missed.

He is survived by his loved ones, Karl, Julie, Uncle Tom, Aunt Jeanne, and many friends.
