Obituary

Charles David Legg, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 12, 2025. He was the son of John Legg and the late Betty Legg and the devoted husband of Judy Legg for 45 years.

Raised in Clinton, MS, David graduated from Clinton High School before attending Mississippi College. He later earned a degree in Forestry from Mississippi State University.

David was a loving and present father to his daughters, Mandy and Mallory. He never missed a soccer game, school program, or moment to support his girls. His greatest joy came later in life as "Bo" to his grandchildren—Hadley, Harper, Titus, Charlotte and Baker—each of whom brought light to his life.

David began his career in forestry, working closely with the land he respected deeply. That same appreciation for beauty and detail led him into a second career as one of Mississippi's premier wedding photographers, where he captured thousands of moments that will be cherished forever.

Always eager to learn something new, David never just picked up a hobby—he immersed himself in it. Whether flying down trails on a mountain bike or working late in his shop crafting cutting boards and furniture, he poured his heart into everything he did.

David and Judy were faithful members of Pinelake Church since 1986, where their faith and community played a central role in their lives.

David is survived by his wife, Judy Legg; his daughters, Mandy Legg Neese (Tim) and Mallory Legg Hicks (Daniel); grandchildren Hadley(15), Harper(14) and Titus Neese (10) and Charlotte(11) and Baker Hicks (9); his father, John Legg; his sisters, Diane Graham (Clinton) and Linda Nelson (Karl); and many nieces and nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Legg.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will hold a private celebration of his life but invites you to sign an online guest book to show support or share memories and thoughts about David at wrightferguson.com
