Charles A. Ferguson, 84, passed away on October 11, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Utica Baptist Church in Utica with visitation beginning at 9 a.m.

Charles was born and raised on November 29, 1932 in the Adams Station community near Utica. He worked 13 years for R.S. Phillips Painting Company. He also worked at Hinds General Hospital in 1965 until he retired as building supervisor in 1997. He enjoyed living on the farm, raising cattle and spending time with his family.

Charles was baptized in 1945 and was elected to deacon in 1954 at Salem Baptist Church. He moved his membership to Utica Baptist Church in 1986 and was elected deacon in 1989. He was involved with Sunday School Assembly, Chairman of Deacons and a teacher.

Charles is survived by his wife, Winnie Ferguson; his children, Linda Montgomery (Bill), Debbie Hennington (Mike) and Charlie Ferguson; his grandchildren, Todd Montgomery (Catherine) and Christy Hennington; and his sister, Kathryn Hutchins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Utica Baptist Church building fund or Salem Baptist Church cemetery fund.
