After attending Hinds Community College, he began work in the Insurance industry in 1974, entering the area of Workers' Compensation with the MS State Commission. The greatest joy and love to Charles was his family. He married the former Betty Anne West in 1973 and they were looking forward to their 50th anniversary next year.
