Catherine Irene Turner Mcghan's Obituary
Catherine Irene Turner McGhan, 92, passed away at Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, MS, on November 7, 2016.. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on August 12, 1924, to Nicholas Francis and Anna Marie Turner.
Mrs. McGhan was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband of 49 years, Rev. Joseph Patrick McGhan, Jr.. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Irene Porter (Harry), of Clinton and Patricia Louise Livingston (Robert), of Madison; son, David Patrick McGhan (Maddy), of Wilmington, North Carolina; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
A private, family graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
The family requests that memorials in honor of Mrs. McGhan be made to French Camp Academy - One Fine Place - French Camp, MS 39745; the Scholarship Fund of First Presbyterian Day School - 1390 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39202; Reformed Theological Seminary - 5422 Clinton Blvd., Jackson, MS 39209.
