Carrie Leigh Brewer of Madison, MS passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025 at the age of 48.
Carrie was born on October 14, 1977 in Jackson, MS to Suzette Winstead and Daryl R Brewer Sr. and was raised by Alisa Jones and Daryl R Brewer Sr. She was raised in Raymond, MS. Carrie was a proud graduate of Raymond High School. She then later earned a degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi College. Where she then went on to teach at Puckett and Richland Elementary.
Carrie will not only be missed, but her memory will be cherished by her friends and family. She was strong, beautiful, and kind. A loving woman with an infectious smile, and a strong will. She loved her family and never met a stranger. She was always ready for a good garage sale, game and gardening especially with her grandmother. Carrie was an extremely smart and thoughtful person with the most amazing sense of humor, always finding a way to make a joke.
She was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, and sister. Most importantly Carrie was a fighter even on the hardest days and loved even harder.
Carrie is preceded in death by her mother Suzette Winstead, and her grandmothers Dorothy Brewer and Blanche Winstead. Along with her grandfathers James Brewer and Charles Winstead.
Carrie is survived by her loving spouse of 10 years John W. King, her children Chandler Seros (Hayleigh) and Colton Seros and her grandchildren Kensley Seros and Waylon Seros.
She is also survived by her father Daryl R. Brewer Sr. (Bonnie) and stepmother Alisa Jones and her siblings. Brothers Daryl Brewer Jr. Justin Putnam (Millie), Gary Brewer (Dakota), and Chansom Brewer (Nicole). Sisters Amy Harvey (Jeramy), Alicia Johnson, and Topanga Brewer. And several nieces and nephews.
