Carolyn DePriest Allen

Carolyn DePriest Allen, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 7, 2026.

Carolyn was born January 18,1933 in Beardstown, TN to John Wilson DePriest and Lillian Pearl Hunt Depriest, and passed away in Yazoo City, MS at the Martha Coker Green House Homes.

Carolyn was a devoted Christian having given her life to Christ as a child. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was her very life. She loved to sew and quilt for her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Otha David Allen, Sr. and her brother, Robert M. DePriest and his wife, Joyce.

Carolyn is survived by her son: Otha David Allen, Jr. (Debbie); son: Mark Allen (Sherry); sister, Evelyn DePriest White (James); grandchildren, Dave Allen (Lindsey), Courtney Lantz (Brian), Andy Allen (Krista), and Cody Allen (Briccili); and great-grandchildren, Brooks, Libby Claire, Ben, Nolan, Lilly, Benton, and Sara Powell.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton and from 10:00am – 11:00am Saturday. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Flora City Cemetery.
