Carol "Jeannie" Kynerd passed into the Lord's heavenly gates Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the age of 74 after a brief illness. Her Mother lovingly awaited her arrival. Visitation is Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond with burial to follow in the Raymond Cemetery.

Having a physical handicap all her life, she was severely limited in many ways. She made up for those physical limitations by exhibiting a gracious, trusting personality that loved everyone who would give her attention. Upon seeing you, she would often say, "I want a hug!" She loved family and people, and never spoke an unkind word about anyone.

Carol was born in Aberdeen, MS on August 5, 1947, and was the 4 ^Th child of Curtis Eugene Kynerd and Frances Louise Kynerd. At the age of 3, her family moved to Raymond, MS where she lived the remainder of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her niece, Linda Teresa Boneau, her nephew, Jay Devereaux Kynerd and her great nephew Aamon Knoll. She is survived by her brothers, James Franklin Kynerd (Sandy), Thomas Eugene Kynerd, Byrle Acker Kynerd (Mary Jo), Curtis Reed Kynerd (Wanda) and sister-in-law, Nancy Kynerd. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The Kynerd family wishes to thank all the people in the community for their kindness and compassion to Carol over the years including many caregivers who so loyally met her daily needs, and especially to those who were caring for her at the time of her death, Ashley Brown and Barbara Wilson.
