Brooke
Craig
December 27, 1979 – January 3, 2022
On Monday, January 3, 2022 Angela Brooke Craig was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Brooke was born December 27, 1979 to her parents, Lawrence Saxton of Edwards, MS. and Lisa Hayman of Brandon, MS. Born on her daddy's birthday with an infectious smile, red hair and curls for days. Brooke and her dad celebrated their birthday together every year and most years with a hamburger from a different place each year.
Brooke is survived by her precious son, Grayson Miles Craig of Brandon; her parents Lawrence & Paula Saxton of Edwards and Lisa & Stanley Hayman of Brandon; sister Candy (James) Taylor of Brandon, and Hope (Adam) Smith of Brandon. Brooke was known the most as Aunt B to Gage Taylor, Bree Taylor, Anna Lauren Saxton and Layla Kate Smith of Brandon.
Brooke is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Emile Raymond Craig III; her grandparents, Clayton and Sue Spell of Lexington, MS. And Lena Spell of Lexington, MS.
Brooke graduated from Forest Hill High School in Jackson, MS. In 1998 and continued her education at Hinds Community College receiving her degree in Marketing Management. Brooke's career spanned 14 years at Saks, Inc. She finished her working career at Hinds Community College. Brooke's greatest desire was to be a stay-at-home mom for Grayson and was able to be so involved in his school life and activities outside of school.
Brooke had a heart of gold. Her smile would just light up any room stepped into. She was an avid runner and was part of the Crossfit Community, something she so desired to get back involved with. Brooke was the ultimate planner of all things. She planned every event with passion and a desire to make it the perfect occasion. She loved her friends, her precious neighborhood gang on Lake Forest, and her Bible Study group. Brooke loved the Lord and we know she walked up to Heaven with her hands held up in Worship to King Jesus. We were blessed as her family to have been able to share her life here on Earth for 42 years, but ultimately, she belongs to the Savior and He chose to let her come home. She will be missed.
We will honor Brooke's life with a visitation at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home, 114 Burney Dr., Flowood, MS, Friday, January 7, 2022, 5:00-8:00 pm. Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Pinelake Church the Venue in Brandon. Visitation beginning at 9:30 am with Service at 11:00. Burial will be immediately following at First Baptist Church of Fannin, 101 Church Road, Brandon, MS. 39047.
Memorials can be made to Non-Profit Emile and Brooke's Kids, P.O. 1582, Brandon, MS. 39043
