Brent O'Neal Gray of Utica, MS went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 14th, 2018. He was 57 years old.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Salem Baptist Church. The funeral will be immediately following visitation, with graveside also at Salem Cemetery.
Brent was born in Jackson, MS on October 11, 1960 to the late Charles and Shannon Gray of Utica, MS. He attended REBUL Academy. He continued his education at Mississippi State University, where he received both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. He owned a landscaping company for many years, but his life came full circle when he returned to REBUL. He held many roles at REBUL through the years, including teacher, coach, and most recently Headmaster. This position was more than just a job for him. He truly loved the school, the kids, and the community. He lived life to the fullest, and never met a stranger. He loved to laugh, and never passed on an opportunity to bless someone with a solo. As a teenager, he enjoyed playing football, and he was involved with horses and rodeo throughout his life.
Family was also very important part of his life, and he had many lifelong friends. He is survived by two daughters: Lydia (Ben) and Heather, two brothers: Jeff (Barbara) and Michael (Cheryl), three nephews: John, Eli, and Tucker, as well as many aunts, uncles, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to REBUL Academy to help continue the Agriculture program, as well as many other programs and visions that Brent had for the students there.
