Obituary

Bonnie Walker Triplett entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Brookdale Memory Care Unit in Clinton, MS.

Bonnie was born in Louisville, MS on March 8, 1928, to Ben and Needham Robbins. She was married to Rev. James E. Walker for 50 years. They served together in several churches throughout Central Mississippi. Bonnie loved being a pastor's wife and was loved by many in return.
She later married James Triplett and together they enjoyed 9 years of marriage, family and fishing.

Bonnie was a woman of strong faith and she never tired of telling people how blessed she was. Her greatest blessings were her 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, James E. Walker and James Triplett, sisters Joy Gressinger and Myrtis Bates, and brothers George Perry Robbins and J L Robbins.

She is survived by her 3 children, Sherrie Walker Meilstrup (Dennis) of Brookhaven, MS, Ronny Walker (Heather) of Ruston, LA, and Robin Walker Young (Brigham) of Long Beach, MS, and stepdaughter Lanelle Cannon; as well as grandchildren Duane Meilstrup (Jennifer), Devin Meilstrup (Jamie), Deron Meilstrup (Mary Beth), Keri Walker Taylor (Keith), Bradley Walker (Katie), Jordan Young Osborn (Zach), Ryan Young. She was also blessed by her great grandchildren Madeleine, Kathryn, Drew, Jake, Aidan, Asha, Zachary, Kylie, Ty, Anna, William, Logan, Luke, Vivian, and Eliza. The newest addition to her blessings is her great great grandchild Nadia Meilstrup.

Bonnie is survived by five of her nine siblings: Thomas Carter Robbins (Faye) and James Ben Robbins (Marie), sisters Genevieve Walker, Barbara Fulcher, and Becky Williamson (Aaron), as well as her sister in law Joyce Walker Clark and many very special nieces and nephews.

Services for Bonnie Triplett will be Saturday, March 31st at Flora Baptist Church, Flora, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m with service following at 10:00 am. Burial will be 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery in Meridian, Mississippi, following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Flora Baptist Church Building Fund.
