Bonnie Patterson Barnett, 86 transitioned from this earthly home to her heavenly home at St. Dominics Hospital on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was born June 7, 1935 in Pittsboro to Berta and Sam Patterson. She received her education in the Pittsboro School District. Upon graduation she continued her education at Hinds Community College with emphasis in Business Administration. Upon graduation, she moved to Memphis, TN to start her career.

In 1959, she married the love of her life, William (Bill) O. Barnett. They moved to Clinton, MS in 1967. Bonnie was a wife and mother to their two sons. Upon their entry to the Clinton School system, Bonnie began working in the Clinton Public School District where she remained for 25 years serving as Bookkeeper/Secretary for Eastside School. She was an active member of Clinton United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, William Brent Barnett and sister Jane Patterson Barton.

Those left to honor her memory are: her loving husband of 62 years, Bill; a son Brian Barnett and Paul Tracy of Memphis, TN. Numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

A visitation will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. Services will be at 2 p.m. at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Pavilion at Lakewood Memorial Park.
