She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Buck Arnold (Bobby), her sons, William Hollingsworth Buck, Jr., D.D.S. (Ginger), Robert Ferguson Buck (Barbara), James Roy Buck, and daughters-in-law Cindy Henderson Buck and Sheila Mangialardi Buck. Mrs. Buck was raised in Chunky, Kosciusko, and Clinton, MS, where she graduated from High School in three years, and graduated from Mississippi College in three years with a double major (Biology and English). During college she met her future husband, who was finishing his college years before entering into Medical School at Tulane in New Orleans under the Navy V- 12 program. After they were married and upon completing the program, he joined the Public Health Service. Mrs. Buck was devoted to him and supported him throughout his medical journeys, including New Orleans, where they were house parents in an orphanage, then assignments took them with their first daughter to San Francisco, to Meridian at the Matty Hersee Hospital where they lived in the hospital while her husband finished his surgical residency, Hazlehurst where she had her second daughter, to Gulfport/Biloxi, and then to Shiprock, New Mexico, where she had her first and second sons and her husband was the Chief Public Health Service Doctor for the Navajo tribe. Later they moved back to Jackson Mississippi, where they had two more sons and raised their six children.

She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed telling the stories of her childhood in Chunky with her great grandmother, grandparents, parents, sisters, friends, and neighbors. Her stories were of working in the vegetable garden, sitting on the barn tin roof while sugarcane molasses was being made, catching crawdads and putting them in the horse trough, helping the widows of the town, and many other stories. She would tell stories of her young adult life, how quickly she fell in love with her husband because he was such a unique person and of the lengths they went to see each other while he was at Tulane and she was in Clinton. There were many stories of their venture from Tulane, San Francisco, Matty Hersee, Hazlehurst, Gulfport/Biloxi, Shiprock, and back to Jackson.

Early in her marriage she would assist her husband as his nurse and in their latter days she helped as his receptionist and secretary. She was a member of the PTA for several years and taught children's Sunday School. She was recognized by a South Jackson Ladies group for her cooking and for her involvement with the PTA, Church, Garden Club, and her role as a dedicated wife and mother.

She enjoyed gardening, receiving the yard of the month four times. She also loved to play golf with her husband in which she had a hole-in-one to her credits. Most of all she loved her family.

There will be a private graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, Clinton, MS.
