Bobby Gordon of Sherman, MS, passed away at home on January 16, 2021, at the age of 85.

Bobby was born in Litton, Bolivar County, Mississippi, on April 20, 1935 to Clovis and Nell (Gibbs) Gordon. He graduated from Benoit High School in 1954. He married the love of his life, Gloria (Tatum) Gordon, on May 29, 1954. They spent their early married life in Chicago, Illinois before moving back to Mississippi, first to Greenville before finally settling in Rolling Fork in 1963. He spent the majority of his life there, moving to Flowood, MS in 2005 and then to Sherman, MS in 2019.

Bobby worked for MP&L/Entergy for 40 years. He started as a grunt in Greenville, MS, working his way up to lineman and eventually retiring in Rolling Fork in 1995 as Area Line Manager.
Bobby was an avid squirrel hunter and card player and loved watching the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork for 55 years where he was a deacon, member of the choir and active in the Youth and Sound Committees. He was a member of Flowood Baptist Church for 16 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Gloria Gordon, of Sherman, Mississippi, son, Bobby Frank Gordon, III (Jenny) of West Monroe, LA, daughter, Cynthia Box (Dennis) of Colleyville, TX, daughter, Sharon Bingham (Robert) of Sherman, MS, and daughter, Angela Bryant (Ben) of Rolling Fork, MS. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Trae Gordon, Crystal Gordon, Donley Gordon (Jessica), Callie Witcher (Dan), Caroline Fitch (Derek), Tara Box, Abby Box, Taylor Gordon, Lauren Bryant, Stephanie Bingham, Hannah Bryant, honorary granddaughter, Sunshine O'Rear (Mickey), and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Nell Gordon, his brother Floyd Clovis Gordon, and his brother, Michael Gordon.

A family graveside service will be held January 19, 2021 at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
