Billy Sam Ward, 88, of Clinton, MS, passed away on January 11th, 2021 in Jackson, MS. Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 p.m. on January 15th, 2021. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Clinton Cemetery, in Clinton.

Billy Sam Ward was born in McComb, MS and a current resident of Clinton, MS. He was the son of Samuel Ward and Ada Mae McMichael Ward. He attended McComb High School and graduated from Mississippi College with a B.S. in Business Administration. Before college, he served in the United States Army for two years. He married Patricia Ann Vernell from Delta City, MS.

His professional years were in the banking business with First National, Pike Co. Bank, Sunburst Bank and Merchant and Planters. He was involved in Lions Clubs in Clinton, MS and was a member of Siwell Road Church of Christ.

Billy Sam Ward is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Ward of 52 years, daughter, Elizabeth Ann Holmes, sisters, Nita Hendon, Doris Rushing, Glenda Bullock and brothers, Doug and John Ward.

Billy Sam Ward is survived by his son, Michael Ward (Angie) of Brandon, MS and their children Madison and Mason Ward.
