Bill F. Fairchild was born on July 17, 1928 in Waskom Texas, the son of Ada Williams and Hugh Graham Fairchild. He served in the Army from 1950 - 1960 and resided in Bolton, MS for most of his adult life and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Learned, MS. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening. He died at his home on October 25.

He is survived by three children; William Charles Fairchild (Doris) of Washington, Pennsylvania, Virginia Dillie of Estes Park, Colorado, and Shari Guess (Andy) of Coppell, Texas. He was a proud Grandfather to Aaron Dillie and Kristen Beall (Chad), Kate Burge (Gary) and Emily Jones (Gerald) and Garrett and Alex Guess. He was also a Great Grandfather to Lyla Burge and Lexi and Carter Jones. He is preceded in death by his wife Mamie Williams, brothers Robert and Don Ray, and sisters Dorothy McCoy, Lois Fairchild and Lilly Boyd.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 29th at Wright Ferguson Funeral Home 106 Cynthia Street Clinton, MS. Visitation at 9:30, Memorial Service at 11:00am.
