She was born November 20, 1930 in Warren, Arkansas. She attended Columbia College for Women and the University of Arkansas. While at the University of Arkansas, she served as homecoming queen and member of Delta Gamma sorority. Her list of beauty awards is almost unending: A Maid of Cotton, 1st Runner Up to Miss Arkansas, Miss Warren Arkansas, Miss Pink Tomato, Miss Lake Chico, and the list goes on.
She moved to Jackson, Mississippi in 1969 and was one of the founding partners of the long running premier gift store in Highland Village,The Early Settler, along with Shirley Hines and Mary Virginia Phillips. After several years in partnership, she took over full ownership of the store until 2004, when she sold the store to Kaye Sellers. During her many years at The Early Settler, Beverly warmly greeted every person that walked through the doors of her store. Even now in present day; customers still recall her exquisite taste and the beautiful items they purchased at her store. While in Jackson she was also a member of the Symphony League and the High Noon Luncheon Club. After her retirement, Beverly resided at home in Ridgeland where her existing love of animals grew, as she spent hours every day feeding all of the birds in her backyard. She was not only a beauty queen; she was a beautiful mother, a beautiful grandmother, a beautiful friend, and a beautiful soul.
She is predeceased by her daughter Jay Anderson (Coleman Coker), and survived by her daughter Tiffany Russ (Barry Russ), daughter Ashley Holt (David Holt), granddaughter Elizabeth Russ, and grandsons John Wakeman (Sylvia Wakeman) and Woodfin Rogers, three great granddaughters and her beloved cat CC.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kathy Gregg, Gerline Reddick, and her dedicated caregivers, Carolyn Penquit, Janice Penquit, Tierra Penquit, and Beverly Harrington.

Beverly always loved poems her granddaughter, Elizabeth Russ wrote to her.
I write my final poem to you and it is here that I start;
This is only my last poem on paper, I will write them to you forever in my heart.
From the moment I was born until the moment you closed your eyes,
We were always meant to be, I was always by your side.
From the late hours in the night to the early hours of dawn;
Your memory will continue to live forever on.
Every time a bird chirps, it is then that I know;
You are speaking to me, you are saying hello.
You will forever have my heart and forever all of my love;
And I know you will forever be looking down on me from above.
No matter if it is snowing, cloudy, or pouring;
I will forever and always be your precious child in the morning.
