Havens Yeates
August 6, 1960 – April 9, 2023
Beverly Ann Havens Yeates, 62, died of complications from leukemia on April 9, 2023 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, MS.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 29 years, Russell H. Yeates of Clinton and her only son Noah H. Yeates of Clinton. She is preceded in death by her father, James Edward Havens and her mother, Lois Marie Moore Havens of Winona, MS and Her brother, John Havens of Edwards, MS.
Beverly was born August 6, 1960. She graduated from Mississippi College with a degree in Business and accepted a position as a bookkeeper with Green Brothers Gravel Company. Beverly was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married Russell in 1994 and the couple had one son together. Beverly was a social and active woman who was deeply involved in her church family at First United Methodist Church, Clinton, MS. She enjoyed family, countless friendships and her family and friends will always remember her as a person of strong belief and loving spirit.
She is also survived by her brothers, Philip (Marilyn) Havens of Houston, TX and Danny Havens of Winona, MS; her sister, Brenda Havens of Pontotoc, MS and many nieces and nephews.
Beverly enjoyed working with her hands and was an accomplished seamstress making and fitting countless gowns, dresses, drapes, menswear, chair covers, pastoral stoles and many other items.
Beverly took great pride and love for her son Noah. His many achievements, service to the community, achieving Eagle Scout rank at Troop 88 and his relationship with Jesus Christ.
A funeral is scheduled for Friday April 14 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, Clinton, MS with visitation beginning at 9:00 am at the Church. Pastor Ricky James will officiate and all are welcome to attend and celebrate Beverly's life.
