Beulah Winstead Appleton, 95, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Appleton; her sister, Doris Hogue; her brothers, Holmes Adams and Ennis Adams; her son-in-law, Don Schaeffer, and her infant granddaughter, Elizabeth.
Mrs. Appleton is survived by her daughter, Susan Schaeffer; her step-son, William Appleton (Sharen); her grandchildren Ron Schaeffer (Patty), Amy Braswell (David) and Sara Miller (Chris); her great-grandchildren, Jessica Schaeffer Bradley (Clay), Jenny Schaeffer, Ben Schaeffer, Rachel Braswell, Elizabeth Braswell, Josh Miller and Lily Miller; her nieces, Peggy Hector, Judy Crim, Gerry Grant, Elaine Wood, Evelyn Adams Roberts; and her nephew, Eddie Adams.
Mrs. Appleton was a lifelong resident of Jackson and a graduate of Central High School in 1939. She worked at Jackson Production Credit Association for 37 years. She was also active in various professional and civic organizations including the Pilot Club of Jackson, MS. She was active in First Baptist Church of Jackson and the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class for many years. She became a member of First United Methodist Church in Clinton, MS, in February of 2014.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016, at First United Methodist Church in Clinton. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Ron Schaeffer, Ben Schaeffer, David Braswell, Chris Miller, Eddie Adams, Tucker Tims, and Josh Miller
She loved living at The Home Place in Madison, and the family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff and her friends.
