Beuford Joel Edmondson, 84, passed away on October 4, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, October 7, 2022 with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. A graveside service will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.

Joel was born on July 28, 1938 in Sylacauga, AL to Beuford and Elna Edmondson. He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. After retiring, he went to work for the United States Postal Service and retired from there after 20 years. Joel enjoyed playing golf, watching Alabama and Clinton Arrows football. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Sharon McGee and Shirlea Gilliland.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Martin Edmondson; daughter, Teresa Ross; son, Bud Pace (Jennifer); grandchildren, Rebecca Estes (Eric), Brannon Ross (Breanna), Taylor Davis (Jesse) and Ben Pace (Sara); great grandchildren, Barrett Pace, Blake Estes and Brynlee Ross; sister, Rebecca Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital- Friends of Mississippi.
