On December 15, 2024, Betty Vance passed away at the age of 84 in her home after a long battle with Dementia.  Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and a generous soul to everyone who knew her.  She loved to cook and loved to open her home for large family gatherings.

Betty is survived by her husband Ben Vance, her children Michael Vance (Penny), Tim Vance (Michele) and Freddie Vance (Cheryl); grandchildren Mike Vance Jr., Erica Clay (Robert). Chris Cummings (Tonya), Ashlee Reed (Matt) Scottie Cummings (fiancé Beth), Ryan Vance and Holly Scott (Troy); sister Sherry Clark (Jerry), brothers Tommy Ellis (Teresa), Charlie Ellis and a slew of nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her mother Janie Rice Ellis, father Jimmie Lee Ellis, brothers Marvin Ellis, Jessie Ellis, Danny Ellis and sisters Joyce Acy and Jennie Austin; children Barbara Ann Cummings and Jimmy (Bo) Vance.

A graveside service will be 10:00 Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Salem Baptist Church, 2666 Learned Road, Raymond MS 39154.
