Betty Pearl Van Etten, 88, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 in Jackson, MS. Visitation for Betty will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond, MS on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. A Graveside service will follow at the Edwards Cemetery at 12:30pm.

Betty was born on January 3, 1936 to Clifton and Estelle Reed. In 1956 she married Kenneth Ray Van Etten and they were married for 52 years. Together they ran the Van Etten Country Store. Betty spent her time taking care of all her animals and canning all types of food, she was also an avid gardener with a love for flowers. Betty also had a love for people, always taking care of everyone around her.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Ray Van Etten, granddaughter Crystal Van Etten and brother Kenneth Reed.

She is survived by her sons Donald Van Etten (Wanda), Bobby Van Etten (Deanie); grandchildren Christopher Van Etten and Austin Van Etten (Jessie); great grandchildren Eliza Kate and Levi Thomas; brother Clifton Reed, Jr. and sisters Jennie Whittaker and Bobbie Bruce.
