Betty Jean Holifield Glaze

9/10/41-3/17/20

She was born in Soso Mississippi. Died in Jackson Mississippi at the age of 78.

Growing up, she loved her family and friends as well as playing basketball for the Soso Blue Devils.

She married Jerry Glaze on 3/6/60 (they just enjoyed their 60th anniversary)

They settled in Newton Mississippi and both worked for La-Z-Boy for 35+ years.

Upon retirement, they bought a motorhome and traveled extensively around the country, finally settling at the reservoir and in Biloxi.

As a result of their many adventures, she made friends from all over the country, as well as from here at home.

She loved the Lord, her family and friends, riding bikes, walking, and going to the gym. She also loved to see her grandchildren playing sports, as well as playing with her great grandchildren. She was a member of Pinelake Church.

She was born to the late Laudis and Willie Mae Holifield. She is survived by her husband Jerry, son David (Carla), daughter Nina (Richard) Price,

Siblings, Pete (Ruth) Holifield, and Joan Green. Grandchildren Tyler (Michele), Andrew (Lauren), Elizabeth Glaze, Taylor and Ashley Price.

Great grandchildren Matthew and Emily Glaze. There are also several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Baptist Hospital, Jackson Oncology, and U.M.M.C. Neuro ICU for their excellent care.

A graveside ceremony will be held for the family on Saturday, March 21st at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery.
