Betty Montgomery Haynes, 97, passed away on December 11, 2015 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was the widow of Charles H. Haynes, to whom she was married for over 55 years.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Edwards before moving to Brandon in 1996. She was a member of Edwards United Methodist Church and previously, a member of Edwards Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Betsy Smith (Tommy) of Belton, TX; Chuck Haynes (Margaret) of Brandon; and Kathie Young (Jimmy) of Madison. Betty is also survived by four grandchildren, Beth Dickinson (Scott), Blair Barrow (Doug), Chuck Haynes (Jennifer), and Christine Lara (Darryl). In addition, she is survived by three great-grandchildren, Will and Ben Haynes, and Devyn Lara.

Visitation will be at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton on, Monday, December 14th from 5-7pm. Services will be at Edwards United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 15th at 10:00 am. Interment will be at the Edwards Cemetery. Wright and Ferguson in Clinton is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes a memorial contribution to Edwards United Methodist Church.
