Betty Atkins, 80, passed away on June 6, 2017. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 10am. Graveside services will follow at Flora Cemetery.

Betty was born on September 5, 1936 to Roy and Hettie Hopson of Flora. She worked for the State Board of Health and retired in 1986. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She is now in heaven serving the Lord. She has back her memory, humor, loving nature and wonderful personality. We wait for the day when we are all reunited in heaven.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Atkins.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Joy Haley (Dean); grandchildren, Melanie Gibson (Wes) and Michael Haley (Jessie); great grandchildren, Lanie and Blaine Gibson; sisters, Dot Russell, Alline Crowder, Nancy Thompson (Homer) and Billie Logan.
