Our beloved, Betsy Lee Davis, 66, died peacefully at home in Flowood, MS on January 3, 2023, after being diagnosed in November 2022 with Glioblastoma.

Betsy is survived by her loving husband, Donald G. Davis, of Flowood, MS.  She is preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Louise Johnson of Rolling Fork, MS and her paternal grandparents Douglas and Maude Johnson of Greenwood, MS; maternal grandparents Eli and Bessie Partin of Clarksdale, MS.

Betsy was born on August 11, 1956, in Greenwood, MS.  She has three adoring sisters:  Brenda (Dwayne) Woods of Delta City, MS, Faye Potter of Flowood, MS, and Libby (Phillip) Byrd of Rolling Fork, MS.

She is survived by her loving sons Raymond A. Boyd of Ft. Worth, TX, and M. Eddie (Mindy) Boyd of Birmingham, AL, and a host of bonus children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Throughout her life, she was a strong willed woman seeking opportunities to serve others.  Beginning with her dedicated service to her church through children's ministry, Betsy was passionate about sharing the Gospel and helping others to come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  She continued serving her community as an Emergency Medical Technician in her early career. Betsy transitioned her career to be able to spend time with her children and she retired as a paralegal for the United States Attorney's Office in the Financial Litigation Unit.

Our Nana was always up for an adventure and trying new things.  You could always count on Nana to bring the life to any gathering.  If she was not outside working in her yard, you could find her cooking up her next project with the help of HGTV, a Diet Coke and her pups.  Nana taught us all to work hard, play harder and to never take the easy way out.
