Becky Lea
Parker
May 6, 1953 – April 26, 2023
Becky Lea Parker, age 69, entered heaven's gates at 7:10 PM on April 26, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Charles Floyd Morrison and Shirley Ann Capps. She was the oldest child with one brother, Russell Morrison who she loved and protected until she left this earthly home.
Becky had many accomplishments in her life. Her two greatest accomplishments were serving the Lord alongside her husband, Kerry L. Parker and being a godly mother to her one son, Michael Aaron Parker or as she referred to him her "Little Baby Huey."
Becky faithfully played the bass, sang and served the Lord in whatever capacity she was needed at First United Pentecostal Church, Raymond. She worked with some youth girls and taught them sign language at First United Pentecostal Church, Batesville. She served at the Mississippi District United Pentecostal Church District Office as Administrative Assistant to Bro. Travis.
Becky went to school and played sports at Crooked Oak Elementary and High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a basketball player and ran track. She left home at age 16 and lived with her pastor, pastor's wife and three girls. Becky helped take care of their girls until she met Kerry. She and Kerry dated 6 months and were married for 49 years. They adopted Michael in 1975 and spent many years traveling the world to the numerous places Kerry served in our military. Becky obtained her bachelor's degree at age 50 and then went on to pursue her certification in sign-language. Becky authored two books and toured Germany in a country western band named "Country Lovin'."
She is survived by her one and only son, Michael and his wife Dianna of Holcomb and one brother, Russell Morrison and his wife, Patti of Benton, Arkansas.
She is also survived by one nephew, Denton and his wife Anna of Alexander, Arkansas, along with two great nieces, Charlee and Lillian and one great nephew James Morrison.
Becky is also survived by her extended family Boyd (Ray) Parker, (Lorraine) Stafford, Texas, Tony Parker, (Judy) Leland, MS, David Parker, (Linda) Marvel, Arkansas and Doris (late Preston) Tidwell of Batesville, MS.
Becky was proceeded in death by the love of her life, Kerry L. Parker, both of her parents, Charles Morrison, Shirley Capps and one beautiful niece, Charlee Diane Morrison.
