Barry Eugene Butts of Raymond entered into the loving arms of his heavenly Father March 13, 2021. Born January 25, 1961, in Jackson, Mr. Butts was preceded in death by his father, William Herbert Butts of Raymond and his nephew, Ross Winston Arnold of Atlanta.
Survivors include his mother Maxine Butts of Raymond, sister Kathy Arnold of Atlanta, twin brother Larry Butts (Helen) of Jackson, brother Roy Butts (Emily) of Madison, nieces and nephews Victoria Arnold of Atlanta, Anna Jordan Butts of Dallas, Jack (Megan) Butts of Madison, Wallace Arnold of Champaign, IL, Will Butts of Jackson, Hayden Butts of Madison, Mary Claire Butts of Madison, and a great niece, Andersen Butts of Madison, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Butts spent his childhood in Raymond, where he was a member of the Raymond United Methodist Church and attended Hinds County Schools. He enjoyed Cub and Weblos Scouts, as well as Little League baseball, playing at the former Wash-O-Ha Acres pool, and following his dad around the farm, wanting to fix fences and count cows. His deep fondness for his twin brother Larry will always be remembered, as Larry could usually make him laugh or smile.

Ellisville State School was Mr. Butts' residence for many years, and he leaves a legacy of longtime friendships with the doctors, nurses, social workers, and residents who will miss him dearly. Barry was known to thrive on individual attention, and those who saw him regularly went the extra mile to spoil him. The family would like to express its immense gratitude for the many years of love and service provided to Barry by the staff at Ellisville State School.
