Barbara Pezet (née Miller), 81, entered eternal rest on February 15, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.

Born on August 6, 1943, in Newark, New Jersey, Barbara was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School. She built a successful career as an insurance specialist, licensed in Property and Casualty. She began her journey at Boynton Brothers Insurance and dedicated over 45 years to the industry, working with Sun Life, GB Parks/Quantex, and eventually retiring from Creative Agency Group.

Barbara's faith was an important part of her life. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Sayreville, New Jersey, before moving to Mississippi, where she faithfully attended Liberty Baptist Church in Flowood.

She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and was a gifted cook—talents she used to connect with others. She also loved watching birds and cherished time spent with family and friends. Known for her witty personality, she loved to laugh. Barbara was immensely proud of her granddaughters and was a constant source of encouragement and inspiration to her daughter. She was also deeply grateful for the love and companionship of her partner.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Maria Young (Steven Young); granddaughters, Samantha Young and Sarah Young; her beloved partner, Frank Nigro; and her brother, Joseph Miller. She also leaves behind nieces Dawn Roessle (Scott), Tara Fusaro (Frank), Shana Addeo (Anthony), Tiffany Cirilli (Nick), Lauren Trent (Ryan), Kylie Roessle, and Patricia Miller; nephews John Miller (Nikki) and Michael Kiernan; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Miller; her brother, Raymond Miller; nephews Raymond Miller and David Miller; and sisters-in-law Roseann Miller and Joyce Miller.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on March 1, 2025,  preceded by visitation beginning at 9:30am, at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, located at 114 Burney Dr., Flowood, Mississippi, 39232.

Barbara's memory will live on through the love she shared with those around her. She is now at peace in the arms of her Savior, Jesus.

The family asks that any charitable donations in memory of Barbara Pezet be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 5199 Lakeland Drive, Flowood, MS  39232, for the Youth, Children's and College Ministries.
