Barbara Jean Miller Marshall went to be the Lord on September 21, 2014. Services will be at Salem Baptist Church in Learned, MS on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Visitation will be at the church at 1 p.m., followed by the service at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will also be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Wright Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS from 58 p.m.
A native of Jackson, MS, Barbara was born in Picayune, MS on April 12, 1945. She graduated from Murrah High School in 1963, and attended Mississippi College afterwards. Barbara lived with her family in Clinton, MS from 1976 until she passed away. She was very devoted to her family, and strong in her faith in the Lord. Barbara was very loved by her family who were devoted to her, too. Barbara and Charles were married nearly fifty years and would have celebrated fifty years of loving and committed marriage in June of 2015. She will be missed by her family and friends whose lives were so impacted and enriched by her kindness, love, generosity and faith.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lavon Miller and Virginia Talley Miller, and her granddaughters Kaitlyn and Christa Marshall. She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Marshall of Clinton, MS her daughter Erin David Ayscue of Clinton, MS her son Paul Christi Marshall of Terry, MS her granddaughters Hannah Leigh Marshall and Caylen Joan Ayscue both of Clinton, MS and stepgrandsons Matthew, Austin, and Cody Gray. She is also survived by her sister, Sherri Miller George Fornea of Houston, TX nieces Allison Fornea and Lauren Fornea Durso, nephew Adam Fornea and their families.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Barbaras memory to the Blair E. Batson Pediatric Congenital Heart Program, 2500 N. State Street, Jackson, MS 39216.
