Former Hinds County Circuit Clerk, Barbara Dunn, peacefully passed away November 8, 2022 with her family by her side.

She proudly served the citizens of Hinds County for 31 years as Circuit Clerk. She carved her own way as one of the first female elected officials in Hinds County.

Many knew her as Mrs. Dunn, but to us she was Momma and Granny. While she has always been a strong woman full of tenacity, she showed her love through her kitchen, whether it was at home with family or at the Circuit Clerk's office.

Our fondest memories with her are at our family beach house in Ocean Springs, annual girls' trips with her daughters, coaching softball, and our family holidays.

Mrs. Dunn is survived by her children Candy Whitfield Jeffrey (Robert), Pam Whitfield Angelle (Sidney), Christie Dunn Osborn (Rodney), Terri Dunn Montgomery (Duane), Brian Dunn (Cathy), Wesley Dunn, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas D. Dunn, and her parents Clarence and Irene Harpole.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 13 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Wright & Ferguson in Flowood, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14 at St. Columb's Episcopal Church in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Graveside service to immediately follow at Lakewood Memorial South. Pallbearers are Nathan Livingston, Chris Cooksey, Duane Montgomery, Thomas Jeffrey, Samuel Martin, and Lee Myers.
