Avie S. Faulkner, 104, formerly of Jackson died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Riggs Manor. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service on Friday at Wright and Ferguson in Raymond with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park South.
Mrs. Faulkner was a native of Vaiden, MS and former resident of Jackson since 1950. She was a former member of West Park United Methodist Church and currently a member of Alta Woods United Methodist Church. She was retired as secretary with M.F.C. and a former member of American Business Women's Association.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Martin Henry Sims and her husband Ernest Faulkner. She was also preceded by her sister, Allie Jackson and her brother, Willie M. Mims. She is survived by her step son, Donald Faulkner (Bettye), and numerous nieces and nephews.
