Ashlee Jane Sumrall, 17, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. She is survived by her parents, Jason and Alyson Sumrall; her sister, Abby Sumrall; paternal grandparents, Roy and Gayle Sumrall of Clinton; maternal grandmother, Jane Moore of Clinton; uncle, Jeromy Sumrall (Crystal) of Clinton; aunt, Pam Moore of Clinton; uncle, Tommy Moore (Epi) of San Antonio, TX; cousins, Cody Moore, Paloma Sanabria, Nicolas Moore, Dustin Moore, Mackenzie Sumrall, and Raegan Sumrall. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Tom Moore.

Ashlee was born on June 29, 2008 in Jackson, MS. She was the “bestest oldest daughter” her parents could have asked for and gave the best hugs! She loved God, her family and her friends. She was a ray of light, kindness, and positivity. She truly embodied the fruits of the Spirit, and they were evident in the way she lived her life. Helping with the children at church brought her great joy, and she cared deeply for each of them. She was known to her friends and coworkers as Ash, a nickname that suited her warm and friendly spirit.

She had a drive from a young age to start her own company which she accomplished in the summer of 2025 when she started Charmed Arts. She was gifted in both artwork and music. She was a dedicated member of the Clinton Band program for seven years and the Clinton Arrows Swim Team for six years, where she formed many lasting friendships. She graduated from Clinton High School on May 15, 2026 and planned on entering Mississippi College School of Business in the fall.

During her short 17 years, she touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression. Her memory will continue to provide light in the lives of her family, friends, and all that she touched.

Join us for a celebration of Ashlee’s life at Wildwood Baptist Church (101 Auburn Drive, Clinton) on Wednesday, June 3rd. Visitation 1:00-4:00pm, service at 4:00pm, and burial following at Clinton Cemetery.
