Arthur Keith (Rip) Collins was born October 1, 1945 and died peacefully Saturday April 29, 2023.

Services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at First United Methodist Church of Ridgeland. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by his life partner of 26 years, Polly Weaver; son, Aaron Collins (Jackie); step sons, John Weaver (Jamie) and Paul Weaver; step daughter, Rhonda (David); grandchildren, Julia (Payton) and Daniel Collins, Kyndall, Rowdy, Kiera, and Faith Weaver, Will Russell and Nicole (Brian) Boone and special friend Myra Helen Collins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur V. Collins, and mother, Johnnie Lee Collins.

Rip retired from Layne Central after being a field superintendent for 52 years. He later worked for Mid-South. He loved his co-workers and they loved him. In fact, Trymonne Williams was like his oldest son.
