Anne Marie Lowe Blair

Anne Marie Lowe Blair of Jackson, Mississippi passed away on August 7, 2026.

She was born in Newton, Mississippi and was the daughter of W D Lowe and Margaret Hailey Lowe. Following her father’s death at a young age Anne Marie and her mother moved to Jackson. There, she attended Murrah High School, graduating in 1958. While a sophomore at Belhaven she met her husband, Tommy.

She married Thomas Blair, Sr. in 1959 and they shared 62 years together in Jackson. They were longtime members of Christ United Methodist Church.

Anne Marie taught in various preschools in the Jackson area and was loved by both her students and parents alike.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Blair Gillespie and her husband, Thomas Blair, Sr. She is survived by her son, Thomas Blair, Jr., his wife Wendi Blair, along with her grandchildren Blair Gillespie White and her husband Daniel, Lamar Gillespie and his wife Laura, Kristen Braasch and her husband Austin, Mollie Baioni and her husband Brandon, and Thomas “Lee” Blair III.

She also is survived by 5 great grandchildren, Louis White, Baker White, John Braasch, Blair Braasch, and Owen Baioni.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Wright & Ferguson Funeral in Flowood. A graveside service will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson beginning at 1 p.m.
