Ann Meek, born Ann Marie Conerly, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2019 after battling cancer for several years.

Ann was a loving wife and mother with a great love for Christ and music. A natural educator with a passion for her students, she earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern Mississippi in Adult Education and taught developmental and Criminal Justice classes for JPS, Hinds Community College and Ashford University.

Ann's love of music was evident in her enjoyment of playing piano, guitar and ukulele. Also passionate about animals, Ann rescued six dogs and a cat from dire circumstance and made them loved family pets. Born in Jackson, MS August 9, 1962, she is survived by her mother, June Conerly; husband, Tom Meek; daughter, Emily Meek; sister and brother-in-law, Tim and Karen Prevost; nephews, Dan and his wife, Jessica and Will Prevost and niece Melissa Keen and her husband Dusty.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:30 am, followed by a 1:00 memorial service at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond, MS.
