Ann Patrick Howell passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at home with family members at her bedside.  She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Walter G. Howell, son, Paul P. Howell, his wife, Dianna T. Howell and her grandchildren; Kristen A. Howell, Nathan P. Howell, and Ian G. Howell, son, Michael G. Howell, sisters Billie Ruth Hogan and Paulette Lewis.

Ann Druzilla Patrick was born on August 6, 1937, in a small community south of Hattiesburg called Dixie.  Ann was the first born to Paul Johnson Patrick and Hazel Williams Patrick.   During her senior year in high school, Ann received numerous scholarships to college, both civic and scholastic.

Ann graduated from Southern Mississippi University in 1959 with a degree in Home Economics while serving on numerous philanthropic organizations, she earned a Master's Degree from Mississippi College in 1978.  She married Walter Gerald Howell in 1960. Ann and Walter moved to Clinton in 1968.  They were lifelong members of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton where she held several chair positions to include Board of Trustees. Ann taught in Jackson Public Schools for 22 years.  Ann and Walter traveled the world starting in the new millennium, their final destination was Machu Picchu in 2017.
