Mrs. Ann was born in Jackson, MS, on February 20, 1928. She was the third child of Noah Webster Overstreet and Mabel Kinnear Overstreet. Ann married Harold Tribble Kitchings, Sr. on December 20, 1950. She graduated from Central High School in Jackson, MS., attended Blue Mountain and graduated from Mississippi College with a degree in Home Economics. To know Ann and Harold was to see a picture of the ideal pastor and wife. Ann had a gift of teaching and was able to use this in every church they belonged. It was so easy to listen and learn from Ann because of her beautiful smile and humor. When Harold died in 1987, Ann married once more to Dick Albritton and enjoyed 25 years of faithful support to him.
Whether you talk to her childhood friends of 82 years, who still talk to each other, or her new friends from The Arbor, each would say Ann was the sweetest, kindest, most gentle lady of Christian faith that one could ever meet. As a family, she taught us to love Jesus, have fun and laugh at life, which is so much better than being negative. Every Christmas the grandchildren looked forward to seeing what gift Hannie left for them. We would laugh so much so often our faces hurt. Oh, what great stories we have When Ann went to the Arbor, she was back in her element where she was needed to love on the people there. The preachers wife was back spreading love and positive words.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Noah Webbster Overstreet, Sr. and Mabel Overstreet first husband, Harold T. Kitchings, Sr. Brothers, Webb Overstreet Jr. and Robert K. Overstreet.
She is survived by her husband, Baylus R. Dick Albritton daughters, Kathy Kitchings Nowell Gary and Karen Kitchings Higginbotham Jim a son, Hal Kitchings, Jr. Kellie grandchildren, Garret H. Nowell Elizabeth, Gavin Nowell Lacy, Marianna N. Hydrick, Jay Hitchcock Randa, Blake Hitchcock Lindsey, Trey Kitchings Holly, Halie Crane Logan 5 great grandchildren and a little dog, Spooky.
