Dr. Anita A. Williams went home to be with Jesus on October 13, 2022. She was born on February 9, 1944 in Columbia, MS and grew up in Laurel, MS.  She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where she obtained her B.S., M.S., and PhD in Psychology.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, James Luther Austin and Wilhena Whittom Austin, her sisters Jenny Austin Anderson, and Rita Austin Kilpatrick, her husband, Dr. Eugene (Gene) Howell Williams, Jr, and one daughter, Kimberly Diane Austin.

She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa married to Johnny Gardner, Sr. of Brandon, and Heather married to Mat Moller of Covington, LA, as well as ten grandchildren Tiffany Sellers, William Wolfe, Faith married to Andrew Minga, Johnny Gardner, Jr., Anthony Gardner, Ari Moller, Hwin Moller, Julia Moller, Ana Moller and Lydia Moller and four great grandchildren.

She spent many years as a college professor which she enjoyed very much. Upon retiring, she enjoyed spending time with family, cruising, traveling, scrapbooking, making jewelry, and cooking.
