Andrew Jobe Wilder, 53, a life-long resident of Jackson, Mississippi passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2021.

Andrew is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Pamela (Rials) Wilder, his children, a son, Derek Ching of Brooklyn, New York, a daughter, Sarah Margaret of Jackson, siblings Elizabeth Wilder Santoro (Paul), Beverly Anne Wilder, brother-in-law Daniel (Jordan) Rials, nephew Joseph Thibodeaux (Caitlin) and a great niece, and mother-in-law, Barbara Tisdale Lambert and father-in-law Donnie (Cindy) Rials.

Mr. Wilder was born in Jackson Mississippi on September 20, 1967 to Dr. Samuel Jobe and Margaret Louise (Cail) Wilder. He graduated from Forest Hill High School, subsequently attended Ole Miss and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Mississippi College.

Andrew was an avid sports fan, enjoying all sports, especially Ole Miss football. He enjoyed spending Saturdays playing Call of Duty and "defeating Russians'. Once fall Saturdays came, he could often be found in The Grove tailgating and cheering for the Ole Miss Rebels. His cell ring tone was the Ole Miss Fight song and never saw him in clothing other than something with an Ole Miss logo. He loved the "Hotty Toddy" cheer and shouting, "Go to Hell, LSU."

Andrew was a genuine, kind and loving loyal husband, father, brother and friend. Those who knew him were filled with admiration for him and amazed by his stalwart work ethic, kindness and patience. He possessed a quiet poise, loyal heart and confidence in all his endeavors. Andrew was a staunch believer in always doing the right thing. He fiercely adored his family, especially his pride and joy, his daughter, Sarah Margaret, who was the Apple of his Eye. Andrew was so proud to have recently watched her graduate from high school and receive her driver's license.

A talented artist, specifically in drawing and painting, he was a skilled carpenter and designer too. At one time he contemplated a career in veterinary medicine; he was passionate about animals, especially his black Labrador Dixie and had numerous pets throughout his life.

Wilder served as a vestry member at The Episcopal Church of the Creator, volunteered for The United Way and was an advocate for the less fortunate. He worked for Magnolia Inspections for five years as a Home Inspector and had recently been promoted to Inspector Manager.

Andrew was known to remind others to, "Smile" and "Stop Frowning"'. After which he would flash his devilish grin and there was no way to avoid returning one.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 24, 2021 at 11:00 at The Episcopal Church of the Creator, Clinton Mississippi. A visitation and a time of remembrance with the family will be held prior to the service in the Parish Hall beginning at 10:00 a.m.

At the family's request, those who have not been vaccinated are encouraged to wear a face mask and practice social distance protocol.
