Amber Jones Usry, 32, of Clinton, died suddenly on Friday, January 31, 2020.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, from 9:30-11:30 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Clinton, MS with funeral services following immediately after at 11:30am. A graveside burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Lakewood Cemetery in Jackson.
Amber was born in her childhood home on November 8, 1987, in Clinton, MS, to her parents Michael and Jane Ramsey Usry. She attended Clinton High School and graduated from Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, MS. She went on and graduated from Hinds Barber College. Amber was currently working as a waitress.
Amber adored her daughter, Breanna, and loved her more than anything else. She was happiest when she was spending time with Breanna and always tried to do things to make special memories and capture the moments they had together. Amber had a great love for animals and had a passion for rescuing and fostering animals in need and dedicated many hours to working with non-profit animal organizations. She rescued many dogs, some that are still living with her family today.
Welcoming Amber in Heaven were her paternal grandfather, Burtus Perrell Usry; maternal aunt, Christine Jane Ramsey Vaughn; and her beloved husband, Zachary Kent Jones.
Amber is survived by her beloved daughter, Breanna Jane Rochelle Jones; parents, Michael and Jane Usry with siblings, Michael Usry Jr. (Leah) , Andrea Taylor, Falan Lannoy (Allan) and Lindsey Stevens (Jake). Amber is also survived by her devoted grandparents, including: paternal grandmother, Vivian Usry; and maternal grandparents, Marion Lee and Lorraine Ramsey. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
