Amanda Leigh Coleman, 52, went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2025. Surrounded by her loved ones, she left this world peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was ready to go home, to glory, and prepared to be with Jesus in Paradise.

Amanda was born on December 14, 1972, in Meridian, Miss. She was a graduate of Quitman High School and attended Meridian Community College before receiving her Bachelor of Science in Education from Mississippi State University.

She was a teacher of both private and public schools, starting her teaching career at Calvary Baptist School in New Orleans, La., before moving on to Conway Christian School in Conway, Ark., Redwood Elementary School in Redwood, Miss., and finally Clinton Park Elementary in Clinton, Miss.

While she loved her students dearly and took great pride in her work in the classroom, Amanda's greatest joy was being a Wife and a Mom. She was a devoted wife and loving mother who surrounded her family with unconditional love and unwavering support.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Robert Andrew Coleman (aka – her cowboy), her daughters Sarah Grace Coleman and Caroline Elyse Coleman, and parents Danny L. Roberts and Jennifer Smith.

Amanda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton for more than 10 years and put her faith and trust in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.

A celebration of Amanda's life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Clinton, Miss., with visitation starting at 9 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m.
