BOBBYE JEAN FERGUSON BUCK GUESTBOOK

Bobbye Jean Ferguson Buck
April 20, 1925 - May 2, 2020

Jim Buck

Ridgeland, MS

Thanks so much to everyone for sharing their thoughts and memories of our mother.
Being the youngest of her six children, Mom would make sure to tell anyone that she introduced me to that I was "the baby". I loved hearing the way she said it. She always made me feel loved and that she was proud of me. But Mom was like that with all her children.
Through her never ending love, sacrifice, and support she taught us what it means to be a family. I will always strive to carry that on with my siblings and with my own children.
I'll miss Mom, but I also have joy in my heart knowing she is with God and is back with Daddy.

Dear Becky, Deryl (Rick) Underwood sent me a copy of your mother's obituary and I'm so grateful that he did. You may not remember me, but my mother and Bobbye Jean were 1st cousins--their fathers were brothers. I remember as a child visiting the family with my parents, and I want you to know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Yet I hope that you are comforted by the fact that she lived a long, fulfilling, and productive life and plenty of wonderful memories for you and your family to cherish. Most sincerely, Mary Delle Herlong McCarthy

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Buck. My family, Marion and David Perkins and my 2 sisters Cathy and Becky, lived across the street from the Bucks on Carmel Avenue in Jackson for many years, and I always remember what a sweet lady she was. My prayers are with you.

Mrs. Buck was always hospitable, a dedicated mother, and faithful wife. I have many fond memories of spending time at the Buck household as I know others do. May God’s grace sustain all of those who love her during this time of grief and may their tears be turned to wonderful memories!

Dear family and friends,
Many of my childhood’s favorite memories were of Saturdays playing with my Buck cousins at their home on Carmel in Jackson. I only had a younger sister and brother , so I was amazed at how my Aunt Bobbye managed that household and helped Uncle Bill with his medical practice.

She and my Mom, Rosa Nell ,were close, as she was with all her sisters and my Grandparents. I remember her most for her strength, faith, love, compassion and determination.

She will always be an inspiration to me.

We send our love and sympathy to all who knew and loved her.
